Back to the YMCA

Yesterday, we went as a family to the Y. I went to Zumba. I really do enjoy going to this class. It is what you make it, very high energy or even just a fun lower impact aerobics class. I'm feeling it a little bit today, I didn't jump into the first class back and go totally high impact. I'm going to ease my way back in.

Rich played basketball for an hour or so and got set up on the new Active Trax stuff. I really don't like it as much as I did the FitLinxx that they used to have. Oh, well. I don't have to like it, just use it!

So, Rich is doing a biggest loser contest at work. They have 4 weeks to lose the most percentage of weight. I believe that everyone put $10.00 into the pot and whoever loses the most wins the money. Not a bad incentive!

Today I'm headed back to the Y so that Sarah can go to the kids Zumba class and I can go to kickboxing. I've never done kickboxing before, but I'm willing to try just about anything right now to get this weight off of me. I'm at 183 today and I expect by this time next month I will be at 173. I just need to feel good in my own skin and I haven't felt like probably most of my adult life.

So, now that I'm 40 with little kids, I think that I really need to get me butt in gear and make it shrink and for me to be a healthier person so that I can keep up with my very active 5 and 2 year old little ones.

Breakfast was my normal fried egg sandwich with enough butter in the non stick pan that the egg barely didn't stick. The mushrooms, peppers and onions tasted great and the parmesan cheese was just enough to taste it, but it didn't add a lot of calories. Black coffee - on the first cup, but there will be atleast one more to go before all I drink the rest of the day is water.

I hear a 2 year old calling my name. I guess I need to post and go get these kids up.

Have a great day! Remember it is only food and although it tastes really good you only need enough of it to make your body move and function.

Til next time,

Kim
